Before Deciding

When our representatives are making important decisions that impact all of our lives I believe it is important to ask one basic question before making
those decisions,
Is this good for
the children?

Just imagine what our world would be like if that question was asked prior to making decisions about going to war, the environment, education or healthcare.

2. Sabra Briere and 3. Kathy Johnson share how they came to be active in the group Indivisible - Sonoma County Chapter that realy came to life after the election of 2016 of Donald Trump.  The mission of Indivisible Sonoma County is to mobilize and organize people locally by connecting them with the political processes to fight for equality and justice.Sabra and Kathy and other volunteers of Indivisible telephoned folks, especially those who have not voted in awhile, to encourage them to register and to vote on key issues. Those districts that were once solid Republican in Orange County, for example, shifted to elect Democratic candidates who campaigned to resist Trump's agenda, much through the efforts of Indivisible calls from its chapters across the nation.

About our Guest:  Sabra Briere a former Ann Arbor, Michigan, resident, moved to Sonoma County last year. Prior to moving here she was a member of the Ann Arbor  City Council. She immediately became involved in the community and joined Indivisible Sonoma County at their first general meeting in January, 2017 and currently sits on their Advisory Council. She is active member of the local Democratic Party, and volunteers for the City. Sabra is passionate about free speech, education, the environment, and civic responsibilities and brings her energy and her insights to our local issues.

About our Guest:  Kathy Johnson retired after 32 years of service for the Social Security Administration and although political activism is fairly new to her she has always tried to be an engaged citizen and voter. She has been an active volunteer in her church and for several local non-profits but in November of 2016 her focus changed and she saw that political action was the best way to influence change and became part of Indivisible.
