When our representatives are making important
decisions that impact all of our lives I believe it is important to ask
one basic question before making
those decisions, Is this good for
the children? Just imagine what our world would be
like if that question was asked prior to making decisions about going to
war, the environment, education or healthcare.

1. Commentary by Elaine B. Holtz: Joining
me in the studio this morning I
have two special guests: Anne
Clark is both the Managing
Director of 6th Street Playhouse
and the choreographer of the
play we will discuss, and actor
Molly Larsen-Shine. We are going
to talk about a new production
specifically for children, A
Year with Frog and Toad. I
am a strong believer in live
theatre and just in love with
the 6th St. Playhouse. Just
think in their 50 years of
existence, the joy and pleasure
they have provided for all of
us.
Also joining me in the studio is
Tina Rogers, an educator,
performer, and researcher and
wonderful friend. We will be
talking about the Martin Luther
King, Jr. Birthday Celebration
that is happening via Zoom and
live streaming on Sunday,
January 15th.
Barbara
Walters passed away at 93, I
would say she had a long and
prosperous life. She made
history as part of the nation's
first female anchor and the
founder of the view. Before
Barbara Walters there were no
women journalists or
interviewers. She opened the way,
according to the remarks of some
of the women who are in those
positions and attributed their
success to her. Condolences to
her family.

2. Guests
Anne Warren Clark and
Molly Larsen Shine talk
about the new production of A Year with Frog and
Toad at
the 6th Street Playhouse.
They share how they gain their
confidence in the creative
process and on the stage. Molly
plays four roles, each a
different species, and she
shares her character study. Anne
choreographed the play for this
6th Street Playhouse production
and she shares part of that
process. A Year with Frog
and Toad is being presented
through January 22, with more
details under
Guests' Event below.

Cumming. She choreographed the
National Tour of Peg+Cat.
As an actor, she has performed
on Broadway and starred in Bay
Area Children’s Theatre’s

Tina Rogers shares some
of what went into the production
of the 44th Annual Martin Luther
King, Jr. Birthday Celebration,
as a zoom event this coming
Sunday January 15, 2023, 6:30 -
8 PM. Middle and high school
students again submitted art and
essays, and the winners will be
on the Zoom event. See
Guest Event
below for details.
About our Guest Tina
Rogers is a native of
Sonoma County, Tina Rogers has
devoted her life to trying to
understand this beautiful
planet, the humans and the other
species that share our world. A
true humanitarian is what she
represents, thorough research,
education, and communication
with other cultures allows her
to see the "big picture." While
attending UC Davis, she turned
her passion for the arts,
fitness, and wellness into a
popular example of master
teaching not only to children
but people of all ages.
She is a role model who enjoys
using arts education and
fitness, as tools to
“crack-the-code” in child
development that lasts a
lifetime. I have seen her
presentation of Black History
through the spoken word and
dance and found the experience
to be both educational and
inspiring.
